Encounter
Encounter is a group aimed at 20-30’s (give or take a few years!) who meet together in a relaxed atmosphere to learn, share and encourage one another through the study of the Bible.
Encounter meets on the third Friday night of each month (Sept to May) at 8pm in the Cuningham Suite.
At Encounter we meet together to explore God’s word through a series of interactive Bible studies. Our program typically consists of the study of a particular book or character of the Bible or an exploration of what the Bible has to say on relevant topics and themes.
Encounter is a place where questions and discussion are always welcome and through our studies we hope to learn from and be challenged by God’s word as we seek to apply it in our daily lives.
We also enjoy a time of fellowship after our study over a cup of tea and toast (and there are usually some nice buns too for those of us with a sweet tooth!).
Whilst our Bible studies are the main focus of Encounter, we enjoy incorporating social activities into our program as well. This enables us to get to know one another better and encourage each other as we grow in friendship.
In the past our social events have ranged from a trip to Rathlin Island to bowling or a meal out. And of course, no one wants to miss our annual trip to the Christmas pantomime!
